The Situation at the Frontline Remains Tense with a Slight Lull in Fire During Nighttime
The situation at the frontline between the combat forces of Artsakh and Azerbaijan remains tense. This was stated by the Defense Ministry representative Arzrun Hovhannisyan during a press conference on October 15.
“This morning, the adversary again initiated offensive operations in two to three directions. Throughout the day, fierce battles have taken place, especially in the southern direction near the Araxian area, where our troops are showing heroic resistance against the adversary, engaging in heavy combat. There have been losses on both sides, and the adversary has suffered significant casualties, and in some sections, we have managed to push them back. Overall, the situation continues to be severe, and our troops are showing heroic resistance in all sections,” stated Hovhannisyan.
Arzrun Hovhannisyan noted that there are certain relaxations in the fire at the frontline during nighttime. “The adversary is employing a substantial number of forces, particularly infantry, with constant assault groups, relentless artillery fire, and various aerial measures. The situation continues to be tense; however, there is a certain easing of fire during nighttime, although in the morning, the attacks resume, intensifying in different directions or slightly easing,” emphasized Arzrun Hovhannisyan.
