Iran Deploys Majority of Ground Forces and Moves Heavy Weaponry to Its Border, Expert Says
Iranian scholar Aharon Vardanyan points out that Turkey and Azerbaijan have long sought to destabilize the situation in Iran. This is reported by Aravot.am.
“This is not only manifested in attempts to control the Araks River reservoir and the presence of terrorists but also through additional provocations, including the presence of Turkish-speaking individuals in Iran and the Pan-Turkism movements among them, which aim to inflame tensions further. Furthermore, the presence of extremist groups in Iran is also contributing to this situation,” the expert stated.
According to Vardanyan, Iran is cautious about engaging in military operations because, “Iran operates under a slow and deliberate strategy. Iranian diplomacy never rushes when making decisions; any decision is based on carefully planned steps. If we refer to the possibility of military action against Azerbaijan or Turkey, it should be noted that Iran is capable of preventing such actions, even at the level of statements and behind-the-scenes maneuvers. In this case, we see that measures are being taken, particularly the targeting of Azerbaijani drones within Iranian territory just yesterday and today, as well as the deployment of the majority of its ground forces and the movement of heavy weaponry to its border,” the media outlet highlights.
