Glory to You, Brother: Artur Hovhannisyan

Defense Ministry representative Artur Hovhannisyan has addressed the memory of the National Hero of Armenia, Vahagn Asatryan, who heroically perished while defending the Homeland.

I've known Vahagn for 23 years. When I first set foot in the V. Sargsyan Military University, Vahagn and several recently graduated lieutenants were appointed as platoon commanders. We were put through a lot of challenges from day one, going through our preliminary training under the scout program. Vahagn always explained the meaning behind every step we took. Later, there were many occasions when we became friends with our commander. He served as a commander in many positions, but his heart remained in one place, where he shone as a commander. Subordinates relied on him as a father in everything. A most humble, dedicated, and intelligent soldier,” Hovhannisyan said.
