Calls Made to Transfer Funds to the Same Account for Armenian and Azerbaijani Parties: Fraud

The Telegram channel "News of Armenia" is conducting a fundraising campaign to provide assistance to those affected during the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War. The information verification center reports that the page offers to send monetary assistance to the account number 4890 4947 0987 4051.

It is noteworthy that the Azerbaijani Telegram channel "Азербайджан | Новости" has also called for donations to the same account in support of Azerbaijani citizens. This results in the peculiar situation where funds are being transferred from both Armenian and Azerbaijani sides to the same card account.

The card account to which the transfers are being made belongs to the QIWI e-wallet, a member of the VIZA international money transfer network. The information verification center reiterates its call to avoid scams and encourages making transfers to the funds of the "Hayastan" All-Armenian Fund and the "Soldiers' Insurance" Fund.
