Azerbaijan Planned to Block Artsakh. The Plan Failed, Says Vagharshak Harutyunyan
During a press conference held today, Vagharshak Harutyunyan, the chief adviser to the Prime Minister of Armenia, stated that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, supported by Turkey and mercenary-terrorists, have been unable to achieve their objectives in the war unleashed against Artsakh on the first day. Their initial strike aimed to breach the defensive line in both the northern and southern directions.
In the southern direction, they attempted to cut off the border with Iran concerning Nagorno-Karabakh and reach the border with Armenia in Meghri. In the northern direction, they aimed to advance towards the road to Stepanakert and reach Karvachar, thereby closing the Lachin corridor and completely encircling Artsakh. They did not achieve their aim on the first day, and they are still trying to do so without success.
Harutyunyan further noted that it should be understood that this war has been planned in Turkey and pursues Turkish interests. Their overarching goal is to create a new Ottoman Empire, absorbing Azerbaijan. Previously, it was said that there was one nation and two states regarding Turkey and Azerbaijan; now, it can be said that there is one nation and one state.
