We Strongly Condemn Azerbaijan's Attempt of Armed Aggression Against the Sovereign Territory of Armenia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia has issued a statement regarding Azerbaijan's attempt of armed aggression against the territory of the Republic of Armenia, which we present below:

“The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia has already reported that on October 14, Azerbaijani armed forces targeted combat equipment performing duty in the Vardenis area of the Republic of Armenia based solely on bare assumptions that this equipment was allegedly 'prepared to strike peaceful settlements in Azerbaijan.'

It is evident that Azerbaijan not only refuses to implement the ceasefire established by the joint statement of the foreign ministers of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, initiated by President Putin on October 10, but also, under the blatant instigation of Turkey, aims to expand the geography of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict by being the first to engage in aggression against the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia.

All actions of the Azerbaijani side will receive an adequate response from the Armed Forces of Armenia using the means at their disposal.

We strongly condemn Azerbaijan's attempt of armed aggression against the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia and warn that Azerbaijan's provocative actions will have irreversible military-political consequences, for which the leadership of Azerbaijan bears full responsibility.”
