There Are Captured Azerbaijanis on the Armenian Side, Artur Hovhannisyan Clarified

Artur Hovhannisyan, a representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, stated that there are captured Azerbaijanis on the Armenian side, but did not elaborate on how many there are. He made this announcement during a press conference held on October 14.

“There are captives, but I do not have information about how many there are, where they are, and their condition,” said Hovhannisyan.

Referring to two Armenian servicemen captured by Azerbaijan, Hovhannisyan noted that Azerbaijan is not providing any information about them. “Unfortunately, I cannot provide any details about the condition of our boys. As you know, the Azerbaijani side does not present such matters at all, does not collaborate with the Red Cross, and to add, they do not even attempt to retrieve their own deceased. Recently, we have observed extremely inhumane treatment of their own casualties by Azerbaijan. We have never seen such behavior from them before,” emphasized the Ministry of Defense representative.
