We Must Not Forget the Real Fact of Who Started the War: President's Interview with RT
President Armen Sarkissian gave an interview to RT, addressing the Azerbaijani aggression against Artsakh. "If one side violates the ceasefire, the other side responds. Of course, it is very important to have a mechanism to clarify who is violating the ceasefire. There are many different options for doing this, and they should be implemented.
As for the bombing or shelling of Ganja, I have clear information that Armenia did not shell it. Secondly, when you talk about ceasefire violations, unfortunately, immediately after the announcement at 12 o'clock, the capital of the Republic of Artsakh, Stepanakert, was shelled. I am talking about shelling civilian populations. Thirdly, we must not forget the real fact of who started the war. It is the Azerbaijani side, not the population of Nagorno-Karabakh/Artsakh. There are, unfortunately, violations. I believe all sides should make significant efforts to stop them. Of course, it is very important to have a mechanism to clarify who is violating the ceasefire. There are many ways to do this—internationally, using technology, and they must be implemented because as long as there is no complete ceasefire, neither side will be able to use the humanitarian aspect of the ceasefire."
The full interview will be broadcast tomorrow.
