Turkey's Kurdish Forces Demand Clarification Regarding Sending Mercenaries to Azerbaijan
The Kurdish opposition party in Turkey, the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), has raised concerns about the deployment of mercenaries and military aircraft to Azerbaijan. HDP lawmaker Sarbel Kemalbay has submitted an inquiry to Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu regarding these actions.
According to reports from Armenpress, citing Alarabia.net, Kemalbay emphasized the need for clarification on the fact that Turkey has transported 4,000 Syrian militants to Azerbaijan for a monthly payment of $1,800, as their mission is expected to last three months.
He also deemed it necessary to ascertain whether it is true that F-16 fighter jets and Turkish drones have been used in the war against Armenia, highlighting that while various countries are calling for a ceasefire, civilians on both sides continue to suffer fatalities, and Turkey persists in supporting Azerbaijan.
