Estonian Armenian Community Holds Peace March in Support of Nagorno-Karabakh
The Armenian community in Estonia held a peace march in Tallinn to support Nagorno-Karabakh. The organizers of the march informed 'Armenpress' about this.
'On September 27, Azerbaijan launched a large-scale attack on Artsakh and Armenia. As evidenced by the facts, the attack was meticulously planned and coordinated with the support of Turkey. On October 12, advocating for peace in Nagorno-Karabakh, the Armenian community of Estonia organized a peace march in Tallinn, which started near the Armenian church and ended at the Peace Square. The aim of the action was to establish peace in the region. We call for an end to terrorism and military crimes against the Armenians living in Nagorno-Karabakh, who at this moment are fighting for their right to live and self-determination in their historical land. Through this peaceful march, we encourage people all over the world to take more active action,' stated the message released by the organizers.
According to representatives of the community, they have nothing against Azerbaijanis and do not blame them. They are opposed to the policies pursued by the governments of Azerbaijan and Turkey. 'We stand by peace in Nagorno-Karabakh. The war in Nagorno-Karabakh has been ongoing for 17 days now, resulting in significant losses for both sides. Turkey is directly involved in the conflict, supporting Azerbaijan in the war against the Armenian people, both politically and militarily. The Artsakh Defense Army is taking all necessary measures. Armenians are fighting against international terrorism for their existence. Only the international recognition of Artsakh can prevent the destruction of this small nation, as legal mechanisms will then be activated to stabilize the situation. Meanwhile, on this 17th day, young people aged 18-20 continue to die in the war for peace, instead of enjoying life. They are dying defending their homeland,' the organizers of the march noted.
