Ceasefire Remains Fragile and Unstable: President Presents Artsakh Situation to Emomali Rahmon
President Armen Sarkissian has sent a congratulatory message to Emomali Rahmon on his re-election as President of the Republic of Tajikistan. In his message, President Sarkissian also informed Rahmon about the latest developments concerning Nagorno-Karabakh.
“As you know, following the request of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, a joint statement was adopted as a result of consultations between the foreign ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia in Moscow regarding the establishment of a ceasefire for humanitarian purposes starting from October 10, 2020. However, the ceasefire remains fragile and unstable. Azerbaijan continues to carry out military operations in various sections of the front line, violating its commitments,” he noted. “We hope that the Azerbaijani side will adhere to the ceasefire regime and that bloodshed in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone will cease in the coming days.”
