Armenian Foreign Minister Holds Closed-Door Meeting with Russian Experts and Political Scientists
During his official visit to Moscow, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan held a closed-door discussion with Russian experts and political scientists at the RIA Novosti news agency. The meeting touched on various issues related to regional and international developments.
The focus of the discussion was on the situation created by the large-scale aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan, aided by Turkey, in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. Minister Mnatsakanyan drew the attention of the attendees to the unlawful methods employed by the Azerbaijani military-political leadership in conducting the war, which are accompanied by gross violations of international law.
The discussion also addressed the actions of extra-regional actors in the South Caucasus, which are attempting to alter the balance and security perceptions in the region. In this context, Minister Mnatsakanyan highlighted Turkey's disruptive policy aimed at inciting regional instability through the involvement of foreign militant terrorists and extremist groups in military operations.
