They Fled Leaving About 100 Corpses in the Streets of Hadrut: Lapshin on the 'Capture' of Hadrut

Russian-Israeli citizen and renowned blogger Alexander Lapshin has addressed the recent escalation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on his Facebook page, particularly regarding Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's statement about seizing Hadrut.

"There is a saying: first you work on your image, and then the image works for you. But for Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, everything turned out to be exactly the opposite. He spent decades creating a completely rotten and fake power structure, and now he has become a victim of the system he himself created," writes Lapshin.

According to the blogger, Azerbaijani generals are so confident that Aliyev, sitting in his palace, does not control the situation and is cut off from reality, that they have lied to him without batting an eye, claiming they have captured most of Nagorno-Karabakh, including Hadrut.

"Why focus on Hadrut? For the simple reason that this city lies on the main road to Stepanakert," he notes. "All this reminded me of the 1991 coup in Gorbachev's Russia when Gorbachev was almost 'isolated' as an incapable person of performing the duties of USSR president, with announcements and orders being made in his name."

In his opinion, Azerbaijani generals believed they could feed Aliyev misinformation and, with Allah's help, would still seize Nagorno-Karabakh, at which point their lies would be confirmed.

"However, things did not go so smoothly; they failed to capture either Hadrut, Fuzuli, or Jabrail. Meanwhile, Aliyev hastily announces that Hadrut has been captured, damaging his crafty generals who were hurriedly forced to concentrate all efforts on taking Hadrut. For this reason, disregarding the ceasefire, to save their worthless lives, Aliyev's generals sent about 200 militants from Turkish special forces and Syrian Islamists to Hadrut," Lapshin highlights.

He added that there was no chance of capturing Hadrut, but they at least had to raise the flag of Azerbaijan, film it with their phones, and then flee. However, they were unable to accomplish this. Having left about 100 corpses of Turks and mercenaries in the streets of Hadrut, they fled without filming anything," the blogger noted, emphasizing that Azerbaijani generals have put their leader in a foolish position before the entire world.
