Maria Zakharova Presents Details of Trilateral Negotiations on Nagorno-Karabakh

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, presented details of the ongoing negotiations aimed at resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict during a broadcast on Russia 1 television. As reported by РИА Новости, Zakharova noted that the negotiations lasted approximately 11 hours and concluded at 2 AM.

Initially, the meeting between the foreign ministers was intended to be consultative in nature, but over time, a document was developed that has become a cornerstone in addressing the conflict.

Participants took several breaks so that delegation members would be able to communicate with Yerevan and Baku.

“I have the impression that he (Sergey Lavrov) has devoted himself entirely to this round of negotiations, putting in all his rationality, all his negotiating skills, and human qualities,” emphasized Zakharova. She also highlighted that Russian President Vladimir Putin played a significant role in solidifying the negotiation process.

According to Zakharova, his numerous phone conversations with Armenia and Azerbaijan have laid the groundwork for conflict resolution.

It is recalled that last week, a meeting took place in Moscow between the foreign ministers of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, resulting in the announcement of a humanitarian ceasefire which was to take effect from October 10 at 12:00. However, Azerbaijan has repeatedly violated the ceasefire.
