Iran's Foreign Ministry Expresses Regret Over Ceasefire Violation Between Azerbaijan and Armenia
The spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry has expressed regret over the violation of the ceasefire regime between Azerbaijan and Armenia. This was reported by Pars Today.
In response to the ceasefire breach, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh stated on Monday that Iran regrets the violation of the ceasefire and calls on both parties to exercise restraint and avoid missile strikes against vital infrastructure.
Khatibzadeh condemned the shelling of residential areas and the killing of civilians, extending condolences to the families of the victims. He reiterated Iran's call for both sides to uphold the ceasefire and to resume negotiations within the framework of international law, respecting each other's territorial integrity and ensuring the evacuation of occupied cities.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson also announced Tehran's readiness to support the Baku-Yerevan negotiations aimed at establishing peace in the region.
