The US Must Stand Against Azerbaijani Terrorism and Act Now, Says US Congressman
The complete lack of respect by Azerbaijan for the recent agreement to cease fire against Artsakh is just one of the reasons why the United States should stop military support to Azerbaijan. This was stated by US Congressman T.J. Cox in a post on his Facebook page, referencing a report about the shelling of the Holy Savior Ghazanchetsots Cathedral in Shushi by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
Congressman Cox, who has actively supported maintaining US assistance for demining efforts in Artsakh, proposed to impose sanctions on several Azerbaijani officials responsible for hundreds of deaths, as well as to reconsider diplomatic relations with Turkey.
“For two weeks now, they have aggressively violated human rights and continue to perpetrate violence against Armenians. The United States must stand against terrorism and act now,” the congressman wrote.
