The Objective of the Sabotage Group Was to Capture Hadrut: President of Artsakh

Since Aliyev announced that Hadrut had allegedly been captured, and realizing just hours before the ceasefire that he was far from Hadrut's borders, he chose to strike at the city of Hadrut, stated the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan, at a press conference held today in Stepanakert.

“They definitely have prepared units, mercenaries, and forces from special services of other countries. Our information indicates that they formed a sabotage group together, whose purpose was not sabotage, but rather to capture Hadrut during the cessation of hostilities. They managed to infiltrate those groups into the city and the surrounding areas of Hadrut, conducting sabotage activities during the first phase. However, we were able to reorganize, and today the administrative head of Hadrut is in the city’s municipal building. I just established contact with him moments ago,” Araik Harutyunyan announced.
