Russian journalist, radio and television host Vladimir Solovyov has commented on the shelling of the Artsakh cities of Stepanakert, Martuni, and Shushi by Azerbaijani forces following the establishment of a ceasefire this evening.
“Well, they don’t want to listen to Lavrov, they will have to listen to Shoigu,” he stated during his program "SolovyovLIVE".
It is important to recall that based on a call from Russian President Vladimir Putin, a joint statement was adopted during consultations held in Moscow on October 9th between Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. In this statement, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to the cessation of hostilities for humanitarian purposes starting from 12:00 on October 10, 2020, for the exchange of prisoners of war and other detained persons, as well as the bodies of the deceased, facilitated by the International Committee of the Red Cross and in accordance with its criteria.
