Recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh's Status Could Be a Way Out of This Situation, Pashinyan
The Prime Minister of Armenia expresses willingness for compromise but questions whether that willingness is genuine.
In an interview with the German broadcaster ZDF, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated, "A compromise is possible under the condition that both sides are ready for it. Azerbaijan is not ready. Look, the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, at the level of presidents—Donald Trump, Emmanuel Macron, and Vladimir Putin—issued a statement calling for an immediate ceasefire. The Armenian side welcomed this statement. Azerbaijan has not responded in any way. Meanwhile, Turkey has declared that it hopes Azerbaijan will not stop military operations, after which Azerbaijan stated it will only cease military operations following what they term the capitulation of Nagorno-Karabakh. Yes, the recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh's status can be a way out of this situation."
