Until the announcement of the ceasefire, fierce battles took place throughout the night preceding its declaration, and the enemy attempted to carry out military operations in the southern direction, reported the spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, during a briefing.

According to him, the enemy suffered approximately 200 casualties yesterday and today until noon, and had losses of 3 drones, 4 vehicles, and other minor assets.

"Hours before the declaration of the ceasefire, the enemy's actions intensified, but our armed forces repelled all advances. At this moment, the ceasefire is largely being maintained, as announced since 12:00, despite the fact that provocations have occurred in certain areas, to which we have responded. Specifically, before the ceasefire was announced, small groups from the reconnaissance-diversion units of the Azerbaijani armed forces attempted to infiltrate the town of Hadrut, and during that time, after the ceasefire, these groups were neutralized by us, leading to minor-scale battles. The provocation was carried out before the ceasefire with the expectation that after it was declared, it would already be recorded as a fact," Hovhannisyan stated.
