CSTO Does Not Welcome Interventions in Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict by Countries Outside of the OSCE Minsk Group Mandate: Stanislav Zas

The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) does not welcome the intervention of third countries in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict if they operate outside the mandate of the OSCE Minsk Group. This was stated by CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas in an interview with RT, according to Armenpress.

“The expansion of participants in those events does not serve the interests of resolving the situation and de-escalating the conflict. Therefore, we welcome the participation of countries that are part of the OSCE Minsk Group and operate within the powers entrusted to the OSCE Minsk Group. Primarily, of course, the mandate of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group that exists. If Turkey’s activities exceed the mandate of the OSCE Minsk Group, then we certainly do not welcome that,” Zas noted.
