Arayik Harutyunyan's Press Conference Time Changed
The President of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, has announced on his Facebook page that the time for the press conference originally scheduled for 10:00 AM has been moved.
“Dear compatriots, considering the humanitarian ceasefire agreement reached in Moscow with the active mediation of the Russian Federation, which will come into effect at 12:00 noon, and the ongoing work in this direction, my press conference, originally scheduled for 10:00 AM, will now take place at 5:00 PM,” the President of Artsakh wrote.
It is noteworthy that, after nearly 10 hours of negotiations between the foreign ministers of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan in Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov presented the agreed statement between the parties in the early hours of October 10. According to this:
- A ceasefire is announced starting from October 10, 2020, at 12:00 PM for humanitarian purposes, including the exchange of prisoners of war and other detained persons, as well as the bodies of the deceased, with the mediation of the International Red Cross and in accordance with established criteria.
- The specific parameters of the ceasefire regime will be agreed upon additionally.
- The Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, and the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group will begin substantial negotiations aimed at a peaceful resolution based on fundamental principles of settlement.
- The parties reaffirm the inviolability of the negotiation process format.
