Air Raid Alarm Activated in Stepanakert, But Capital Not Under Shelling
An air raid alarm has been activated in the capital of the Republic of Artsakh, Stepanakert. Vahram Poghosyan, the press secretary of the Artsakh president, stated this in a conversation with Armenpress.
"At this moment, the air raid alarm has been activated, but the capital is not being shelled. It was also not shelled during the night," noted Poghosyan.
Political scientist Tevan Poghosyan, located in Stepanakert, mentioned that there were strikes in the morning, but as of 10:20 AM, there has been no shelling.
Since October 10, 2020, at 12:00 PM, a ceasefire has been declared in the line of contact between the armed forces of Artsakh and Azerbaijan, aiming for the exchange of prisoners of war and other persons under custody, as well as the bodies of the deceased, facilitated by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in accordance with specific criteria. The specific criteria for the ceasefire regime will be agreed upon additionally. This agreement was reached during a meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia in Moscow.
