Artsakh Defense Forces Continue to Eliminate Enemy in Combat Zone, Says Minister's Spokesperson
The Artsakh Defense Forces continue to eliminate the enemy in the combat zone. This was reported by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense, Shushan Stepanyan, on her Facebook page.
Recall that on September 27, the Azerbaijani armed forces launched a large-scale attack in Artsakh, targeting even civilian populations. As of October 9, the Artsakh armed forces have downed 16 helicopters, 17 airplanes, 162 drones, and destroyed 508 units of armored vehicles, mostly tanks, 82 vehicles, 10 armored personnel carriers, 4 TOS-1A heavy flamethrower systems, 4 Smerch systems, and 1 Uragan multiple launch rocket system.
The enemy has suffered over 4369 fatalities. On the Armenian side, preliminary reports indicate 361 casualties. The Azerbaijani armed forces have also targeted military and civilian infrastructure in Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia, resulting in the deaths of 2 civilians in Gegharkunik, 20 civilians in Artsakh, and injuries to 93 civilians, with approximately 5800 properties and infrastructure damaged.
Due to the Azerbaijani shelling, both foreign and local media journalists have been injured. A state of martial law was declared in Armenia and Artsakh on September 27.
