Armenia and Azerbaijan Foreign Ministers Invited to Moscow

Russian President Vladimir Putin has urged the parties involved in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to cease hostilities for the purpose of exchanging prisoners and the bodies of the deceased. This was reported by the Kremlin's press service.

“After a series of phone conversations with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Russian Federation calls for a humanitarian halt to the military operations in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone in order to facilitate the exchange of prisoners and the bodies of those who have died.

To consult on these matters, the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan are invited to Moscow on October 9 through the mediation of the Russian Foreign Minister,” the statement said.
