Investigation Launched in NSS Upon My Instruction: Pashinyan
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has made a post on his Facebook page:
“Dear compatriots, a few days ago I received alarming information that in one of the frontline sections, some individuals went to persuade the fighting soldiers, claiming that 'Nikol has sold the lands, that this is actually a pre-arranged war, that you are brought here to be slaughtered so that the arrangement would not be visible, and that holding positions makes no sense.' According to some reports, these individuals have convinced, and even ordered, the soldiers to abandon certain combat positions to the enemy.
By my instruction, an investigation has begun in the National Security Service, and one of the main suspects, who is a resident of Stepanakert, has been identified and arrested in Yerevan. An investigation is underway within the framework of the initiated criminal case, which will determine which of the aforementioned pieces of information is true and which is fabricated. At this moment, various hypotheses are being examined, including the theory of political motivation, but much remains unclear.
I urge our compatriots who have similar information to contact the National Security Service. Traitors should not have a place among us, and we must cleanse the ranks of our heroic generals, officers, soldiers, volunteers, and freedom fighters from such elements. And victory will belong to the Armenian people. For the homeland!”
