COVID-19 Cases on the Rise: Ministry of Health Urges Compliance with Rules

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia has issued a statement regarding the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in the country. We present it below:

“In recent days, the attention of the entire Armenian community has been focused on the situation created by the large-scale war unleashed by Azerbaijan. It is a life-and-death struggle, and in this context, other issues are pushed to the background. However, we must be reasonable and not let our guard down.

At this critical moment, it is extremely important not to lose vigilance and not to be indifferent to the still ongoing pandemic situation caused by COVID-19, both in the world and in Armenia. The daily increase in the number of cases indicates that the virus has not retreated. Moreover, in recent days, a noticeable rise in COVID-19 cases has been observed throughout Armenia, adding to the burden on our healthcare system amid the war and, sadly, claiming lives.

Dear people, even in this tension, it is essential to strictly adhere to anti-epidemic rules. We again call on you to be more vigilant, continue wearing masks, maintain social distance, and practice hand hygiene. It is crucial to remember that, as throughout the pandemic, our citizens' health and resilience are of utmost importance.

Once again, we urge you to be consistent in every situation, to follow anti-epidemic rules with the understanding that we can prevent the spread of the disease, which will keep our back healthy and strong,” the Ministry of Health's message stated.
