The Adversary Used Relative Calm for Rearrangement, All Attempts for Advancement Neutralized
On October 6, the adversary took advantage of the relative calm following the statement of the foreign ministers of the co-chairing countries of the OSCE Minsk Group to regroup and launched an offensive in the northern and southern directions of the front line. The adversary's actions posed a threat to the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran as well. The Artsakh Defense Army fighters neutralized all attempts of the Azerbaijani forces to advance with powerful counterattacks. During the battles, a significant amount of manpower, armored vehicles, artillery systems, other weaponry, and military equipment were destroyed.
The Defense Army units also managed to significantly improve their battle tactics. During the night, the adversary made an attempt to advance in the southeastern direction as well. The attacking units of the adversary were destroyed by missile and artillery fire. Around 6:30 in the morning, another missile and artillery strike by the Defense Army units led to a demoralization of the enemy grouping and a panic-stricken retreat. The adversary left behind more than 60 casualties on the battlefield, along with several dozen damaged and intact equipment. A large storage of fuel and lubricants belonging to the adversary was also hit.
The Defense Army confidently controls the operational-tactical situation and is prepared for any developments of the situation.
