More Heroes from the Front Line: NKR Presents Their Valor

The Armenian Ministry of Defense has introduced a new set of heroes from the Artsakh liberation struggle during these days.

One of our heroes is Captain Hrant Galstyan, who has been nominated for the 1st degree Combat Cross for neutralizing five enemy tanks and three armored personnel carriers. Major Karen Arakelyan has been nominated for the 2nd degree Combat Cross for hitting one enemy tank and two armored personnel carriers.

Private Narek Hovhannisyan, Junior Sergeant Garnik Baghdasaryan, and Private Davit Davtyan have destroyed three enemy armored personnel carriers with their tank crew, and all three have been nominated for the Medal of Valor.

Junior Sergeant Robert Matevosyan has been nominated for the 1st degree Combat Cross for eliminating six enemy tanks and one armored personnel carrier.

Captain Aleksan Sahakyan's unit, also nominated for the 1st degree Combat Cross, found itself in an enemy trap. They did not retreat or surrender; they fought until the end, inflicting significant losses on the enemy, organized the safe extraction of their personnel from the ambush, and occupied a new position.

Major Hovhannes Aivazyan has been nominated for the 2nd degree Combat Cross for destroying three enemy tanks.

All the mentioned servicemen are currently in service and may be nominated for even higher state honors before receiving their awards.
