Assessment of Damage and Destruction in Stepanakert, Deputy Mayor Reports

Assessment of damage and destruction is underway in Stepanakert. All infrastructure continues to operate, and there is no issue of panic, stated the Deputy Mayor of Stepanakert, Suren Tamrazyan, during a briefing.

According to him, almost all disruptions related to power outages have been restored, and efforts are ongoing to ensure that there are no further outages. The deputy mayor mentioned that there is an issue only with gas supply, which is due to safety regulations. Water supply is being ensured around the clock.

In Tamrazyan's words, teams are currently working to ensure that no service is lacking. “Sanitation workers are going out under the threat of bombs early in the morning and are restoring the city to the condition it should be in both peaceful times and now,” said Tamrazyan.

He informed that as of today, there are shelters that have been equipped. Residents are currently taking refuge in these shelters. He noted that they maintain contact with the people via hotlines.

“In the morning, we take those calls, and in the afternoon, through our volunteers, council members, and staff who are not participating in the mobilization, we try to deliver all the essentials to our residents who are under shelter,” said Tamrazyan.
