Aliyev Calls Putin

The presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia, Ilham Aliyev and Vladimir Putin, discussed the current situation along the contact line in Nagorno-Karabakh during a telephone conversation on Wednesday.

“During the phone conversation, the leaders discussed the situation surrounding the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. President Ilham Aliyev and President Vladimir Putin exchanged thoughts regarding the prospects of Azerbaijani-Russian relations,” the statement noted.

The call was initiated by Aliyev, who congratulated Putin on his birthday. It is worth noting that today is Putin's birthday.
