We Must Volunteer from All Four Corners of the World for the Army of Freedom and Justice: Call from the European Armenian Assembly

The European Armenian Assembly has issued a call for solidarity. Below is the text of the appeal:

“The European Armenian Assembly welcomes and supports the initiative of the Armenian Community Cultural Center in Athens to organize a recruitment of volunteers in Greece and praises its significant advancement in this regard. It is already clear that our compatriots in the Diaspora across different countries are expressing their willingness to go to the homeland as volunteers and participate in the homeland's war.

Of course, we are hopeful that there will not be a need to send volunteers, but what has happened in Greece is deserving of respect, and it is necessary to organize relevant events everywhere Armenians live, in accordance with local community conditions.

The Armenian people have always been peace-loving and advocates for peace, but when a dishonorable enemy declares war and leaves no alternative, we must volunteer from all four corners of the world for the army of freedom and justice.

Once again, we call on all Armenian communities in Europe during these critical days to spare no effort in supporting the homeland, always coordinating their actions with the state, the special representative of the Diaspora, and the needs and requirements of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia. Undoubtedly, even the smallest help from our compatriots can save lives on the front lines, make the lives of displaced refugees bearable, and contribute to strengthening Armenian statehood and further solidifying Armenia-Diaspora ties.

We will win through unity!”
