WRed
UNICEF has issued a statement regarding the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. As reported by Hetq.am, it states: “For 10 days now, the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone has sharply escalated. According to reports, four children have been killed and another seven injured. If the fighting does not cease, this figure will sadly increase.
As a result of the fighting, homes are being destroyed, and schools and other vital infrastructure are being damaged. We call on all parties to protect the civilian population and civil infrastructure from further harm in accordance with international and humanitarian law.
The immediate cessation of military actions is in the best interests of every child.”
