UN Reports Over 40 Civilian Deaths in Nagorno-Karabakh

More than 40 civilians have been killed in the unrecognized Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh since the start of the recent escalation of conflict, according to the UN.
Stefan Dujarric, the official spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, made this announcement during a press briefing on Monday, as reported by the TASS news agency.
"The UN humanitarian office today expressed extreme concern regarding the ongoing clashes along the contact line in Nagorno-Karabakh. They have called for an immediate cessation of hostilities," Dujarric stated.
According to the organization's statement, more than 40 civilians have been reported killed and over 200 others injured from both sides since the beginning of the clashes.
