Stop Selling Lethal Weapons to Azerbaijan: Armenian Assembly of America Appeals to Israeli Ambassador in the US

The President of the Armenian Assembly of America, Raffi Hambardzumyan, has sent a letter to the Israeli Ambassador in the United States, Ron Dermer, requesting that "Israel immediately cease the sale or transfer of lethal or dual-use materials and technologies to Azerbaijan."

In the letter, Hambardzumyan noted that following Azerbaijan's surprise attack on Artsakh and Armenia on September 27, Israeli-produced drones and LORA missiles were used indiscriminately against civilian structures. “The transfer of these and other types of lethal weapons must be halted immediately, considering basic morality, as well as the issues of Israeli and international humanitarian law,” he emphasized.

Hambardzumyan concluded the letter expressing hope that “the ambassador will urgently convey his concerns to the Israeli government, that efforts will be made to ensure an immediate halt to the sale and transfer of weapons to Azerbaijan, and that Israel will never be complicit in a second genocide against Armenians.”
