Columbia University Black Students Association Supports Armenia and Artsakh

The Black Students Association at Columbia University has expressed support for the Armenian community in Columbia, as well as for Artsakh and Armenia, in their fight against the aggression of Azerbaijani and Turkish forces. They have called on the international community to recognize the sovereignty and territorial rights of the Republic of Artsakh.

“Peace must be urgently restored between the three countries, and countries that violate international law (attacking civilians) must be held accountable,” they stated in their announcement.

“We urge the UN, NATO allies, and the US government to de-escalate the situation and ensure that no external player, such as Turkey, participates in the conflict. Turkey and Azerbaijan must be held responsible for their actions,” they emphasized, calling on students at the university, regardless of their country of origin, to connect with their governments and raise awareness about this conflict.
