A Hotline Will Be Established to Determine the Location and Status of Soldiers, Says Arsen Torosyan
Either today or tomorrow, the issue of providing information about the wounded to their relatives will be regulated. This was stated today by Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan.
“There will be a hotline that will allow us to determine the location and status of any soldier, although initially all recognized wounded individuals are generally able to contact their parents if they are conscious. I have personally spoken with many of our soldiers and asked about their communication; there are very few cases of unidentified wounded individuals because they are unconscious and, due to the circumstances, it is not clear which unit they are from, their names, and so on. The recognition process for those individuals is somewhat different, and we, along with the Ministry of Defense and our partners, are handling that. Once the system is fully ready, an announcement will be made regarding where to call and how all of this should be done,” he said.
He noted that most of the wounded have medium to mild injuries. “Of course, we have severe and critical wounded individuals, which represent a smaller percentage of the total number of injured but require more attention, and it is to them that the medical institutions and personnel are directing greater focus to ensure their survival,” Torosyan added.
