We Need Our Countrymen, We Have One Ally and That Is the Diaspora: Zareh Sinanyan Calls for Continued Financial Support
The Head of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, Zareh Sinanyan, responded to questions from compatriots during a live broadcast and presented the situation in the country.
“Turkey, in conjunction with its puppet Azerbaijan, which truly has no hint of statehood, has unleashed its armed forces along with weapons and ammunition from various terrorist groups in Syria against us, hoping to intimidate us. However, we are now at the end of the eighth day, and our heroic armed forces and volunteers are resisting, holding our borders and inflicting heavy blows on the assassins,” stated Sinanyan.
He emphasized that the adversary did not expect the heroism and tenacity with which Armenians would defend their borders before launching the attack. “For eight days, they have thrown tens of thousands of infantry, hundreds of tanks, dozens of planes, and several hundred drones against us, yet they have not been able to achieve any results,” said Sinanyan.
He called on the diaspora to continue providing assistance to the homeland, standing by the soldier's side. Sinanyan noted that the Armenians in the diaspora can show their support by donating to the ‘Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.’ He also emphasized the importance of the diaspora's influence in shaping public opinion in those countries. Sinanyan stressed, “Our struggle is just.”
