VIDEO: Armenia’s Human Rights Defender Releases Footage from Bombarded Stepanakert
The Human Rights Defender of Armenia has released footage from the bombarded capital of Artsakh, Stepanakert. The video showcases the consequences of Azerbaijani artillery shelling on the peaceful Armenian settlement, revealing destroyed buildings, burning vehicles, and helpless elderly residents.
The video notes that the residents of the bombarded five-story building in Stepanakert were fortunately in a shelter at that time. "There were one or two elderly individuals present. It will become clear later what injuries they sustained," the video states.
In the commentary of the video, Armenia’s Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan announces that the footage reflects the situation in Stepanakert as of October 4. "Stepanakert is a peaceful city which has experienced continuous attacks, resulting in significantdamage and casualties," reports the Human Rights Defender, addressing the international audience.
Tatoyan also emphasizes that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces regularly use internationally prohibited missiles to target peaceful settlements and their residents in Artsakh.
It is noteworthy that on the early morning of September 27, Azerbaijan launched a large-scale military assault along the entire length of the Artsakh-Azerbaijan border.
