Kremlin Has No Information on Landing of Russian Aircraft in Yerevan

Russian President's Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov has stated that he has no information regarding reports of a Russian special flight unit aircraft landing in Yerevan. “No, it could not have happened. I do not have such information,” Peskov told reporters in response to a question about whether the Kremlin could comment on reports of the aircraft's arrival in Yerevan.

The preparatory work for the session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council is ongoing, and preparation teams are visiting Armenia in this context, as confirmed by the spokesperson for the Armenian MFA, Anna Naghdalyan. The session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will be held in Yerevan on October 9.

Information has been circulating online from Flight Radar24, which allows tracking aircraft movements, indicating that a Russian government aircraft is headed to Armenia. Various comments have been made linking the visit to the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.
