Government Approves Increase of 40 Billion Drams in Defense Spending

The Financial and Budgetary Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of Armenia has approved the draft law amending the "Law on the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2020," presented by the government. This law stipulates an increase of 40 billion drams in current expenditures due to military operations, alongside an anticipated 6.8 percent decrease in economic indicators.

The draft law was introduced at the committee session by the Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan.
