Body of Newborn Discovered in Forest Area Known as 'Zanger' in Syunik

A mysterious and tragic incident occurred in the Syunik province on October 4. Around 10:30 AM, the Goris police received a report that employees of the Goris-Janshin branch had discovered the body of a newborn while conducting maintenance work on the left side of the road approximately 2.3 kilometers from the Goris-Yerevan highway, in a forested area leading to the gorge.

According to photographer Gagik Shamshyan, the discovered body is female. Signs of insect damage were found on the facial area upon examination of the body.

The police and the investigative department are working to clarify the circumstances of the incident, and materials are being prepared at the Goris investigative division of the Syunik regional investigative department regarding the fact.
