Azerbaijan Prepares Ground for Expansion of War Geography, Says Armenian Foreign Ministry

Azerbaijan's aggression against Artsakh, supported by Turkey and involving foreign terrorist fighters, is accompanied by a campaign of disinformation and falsehoods that crosses the limits of reason.

Unable to achieve success on the battlefield, the Azerbaijani side speaks of imaginary victories on one hand, while on the other hand spreading fake news claiming that Armenia is launching attacks against Azerbaijani settlements.

This was stated in a declaration by the Armenian Foreign Ministry regarding the false information propagated by the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan.

Part of this disinformation campaign includes recently circulated false reports about strikes launched against Azerbaijan's settlements deep within Armenia's territory.

The purpose of the disinformation campaign is to obscure the massive shelling of major settlements in Nagorno-Karabakh by Azerbaijan since the very first days of the war, which has led to numerous civilian casualties today alone and caused serious damage to civilian infrastructure.

By spreading such false news, Azerbaijan is also preparing the ground for the continuation of its criminal policies and the expansion of the geography of war. Every provocation from the Azerbaijani side will receive an appropriate response from the Republic of Armenia.
