Armenian Embassy in Iraq Condemns Azerbaijani Envoy's Statement

The Armenian Embassy in Baghdad has condemned the statement made by Azerbaijan's acting chargé d'affaires regarding military operations against Artsakh, emphasizing that this war is neither religious nor ethnic in nature. According to Armenpress, Alsumaria TV reported on this matter.

The Azerbaijani chargé d'affaires in Iraq called for solidarity in the Islamic world regarding the war conducted by Azerbaijan with the assistance of Turkey against Artsakh.

The statement from the Armenian Embassy noted that Armenians have suffered greatly at the hands of Turks, and Azerbaijanis have done everything possible to erase the traces of Armenians from numerous historical cities, including Nakhichevan, Baku, Sumgait, and Kirovabad. For this reason, Armenians will not allow a repetition of this tragedy. The struggle of Armenians is for freedom and a dignified life.

Along the entire length of the contact line with Artsakh, Azerbaijan began active shelling in the early hours of September 27. Civilian areas, including the capital Stepanakert, have also come under fire, resulting in casualties among civilians in various regions of Artsakh. Azerbaijani armed forces have also targeted Armenian military and civilian infrastructure.

On the morning of October 3, Shushan Stepanyan, the spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Defense, reported that fierce battles were ongoing in the northern and southern directions of the Artsakh border. The enemy has concentrated significant forces in these sectors and has launched an offensive. Armenian units are thwarting the enemy's advance, inflicting substantial losses.
