Zohrab Mnatsakanyan Had a Phone Conversation with Sergey Lavrov

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, discussed the ways to resolve the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone during a phone conversation on Sunday.

“The focus was on issues related to finding ways to exit the situation created in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. Lavrov expressed concern about the increasing number of civilian casualties in the conflict zone,” the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

The Russian side reaffirmed its readiness to support the parties in returning the Nagorno-Karabakh resolution process to a political and diplomatic track under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group, in line with the joint statement of the Presidents of Russia, the USA, and France.
