Military Operations Continue, Fierce Battles Ongoing in Northern and Southern Directions: Defense Army
Military operations continue across the entire Artsakh-Azerbaijan conflict zone. Fierce battles are ongoing in the northern and southern directions. The opponent is continuously attempting to launch attacks, which are thwarted by the decisive actions of the Defense Army units. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
The claims made by the Azerbaijani side that Madaghis is under their control are not true. The destruction of an enemy convoy displayed in the footage occurs on the road leading to Mataghis.
It is important to recall that on September 27, Azerbaijani armed forces launched a large-scale attack in Artsakh, also targeting the civilian population. As of October 3, Artsakh's armed forces have shot down 14 helicopters, 14 airplanes, 123 drones, 355 units of armored vehicles (mostly tanks), 82 vehicles, 10 armored personnel carriers, one "TOS-1A" heavy flamethrower system, four "Smerch" and one "Uragan" multiple rocket launcher systems.
The enemy has suffered over 2,745 casualties and more than 4,570 injuries. On the Armenian side, preliminary data indicates there are 209 casualties and over 200 injuries.
The Azerbaijani armed forces have also targeted military and civilian infrastructure in Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia, resulting in the deaths of two civilians in Gegharkunik and 11 people in Artsakh.
As a result of the Azerbaijani artillery fire, journalists from both foreign and local media have been injured. A state of war has been declared in Armenia and Artsakh since September 27.
