The Russian 102nd military base is currently present in Armenia, and Armenia has a joint air defense system with Russia, which clearly outlines the circumstances under which this military force can be deployed to ensure Armenia's security.
In an interview with the German publication Bild, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the question of whether the Russian army could assist Armenia.
When asked under what circumstances this could happen, Pashinyan stated, “These are specific circumstances provided for in the contract, and I am confident that if those circumstances arise, Russia will fulfill its contractual obligations.”
