I Don't Think Yerevan is in Danger, but Nonetheless We Are in a State of War: Arzrun Hovhannisyan
Today, the armed forces of Azerbaijan were unable to carry out any significant tactical operations and were pushed back after sustaining losses, partly due to the active intervention of Turkish armed forces, which was neutralized thanks to the operations of air defense and other units. This was stated by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Arzrun Hovhannisyan, during a briefing at the Armenian unified information center.
He noted that the morale of our troops is extremely high. “Today, I met with an artillery soldier, a hero officer, who did not leave the battlefield despite being wounded under intense enemy fire, until he reached the destruction of the opposite side's units. There are many such examples,” he said.
Arzrun Hovhannisyan mentioned that there are no active combat operations at the borders of the Republic of Armenia, the situation is relatively calm, and the armed forces are monitoring all enemy activities and reconnaissance attempts, having a complete grasp of the situation. “I don’t think that Yerevan is in danger, but nonetheless we are in a state of war,” he stated.
He emphasized that the armed forces of Armenia and Artsakh are essentially fighting against the Turkish-Azerbaijani armed forces and their unity. “In fact, the management of the Azerbaijani armed forces has been handed over, if not completely, at least partially in terms of military branches, to the Turkish armed forces, and their reciprocal visits and discussions are not news to us,” he said.
