US Congress Members Introduce Resolution Condemning Azerbaijani-Turkish Aggression Against Artsakh

US Congresswoman Jackie Kanchelian-Spaier has introduced a resolution in Congress condemning Azerbaijani-Turkish aggression against Artsakh and Armenia. Co-sponsored by Congress members Adam Schiff, Frank Pallone, Gus Bilirakis, Brad Sherman, and others, the resolution condemns Azerbaijan's assault on Artsakh and Armenia with direct involvement from Turkey, as reported by the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA).

The resolution addresses Azerbaijan's undeniable aggression towards Nagorno-Karabakh, Turkey's intervention, and mentions the threat of an attack on the Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant, announced in July 2020. It also references leading global media reports on the premeditated military actions and Turkey's recruitment of mercenaries from Syria, among other issues.

The authors of the resolution demand the condemnation of Azerbaijan's aggressive military operations and Turkey's active participation in the conflict, calling for an immediate halt to offensive military actions against Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia, a return to the ceasefire agreement, and a reaffirmation of US support for the OSCE Minsk Group's efforts.
