Today, not only our fate but also the fate of the region is being decided. This was stated by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense, Artur Hovhannisyan, on his Facebook page.

It is worth recalling that on September 27, the Azerbaijani armed forces launched a large-scale attack on Artsakh, targeting also the civilian population.

As of yesterday, the Armenian military has shot down 17 enemy helicopters, 20 airplanes (4 of which are Su-25), 113 drones, and destroyed 250 units of armored vehicles, mainly tanks, as well as 82 transport vehicles, 10 armored personnel carriers, one TOS-1A heavy flamethrower system, 2 Smerch and 1 Uragan multiple rocket launch systems.

The enemy has suffered over 3,000 casualties and thousands of injuries. According to preliminary data, there are 158 casualties and over 200 injuries on the Armenian side.

The Azerbaijani armed forces have also targeted military and civilian infrastructure in Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia, resulting in the deaths of 2 civilians in Gegharkunik and 11 in Artsakh.

As a result of the Azerbaijani shelling, journalists from both foreign and local media have been injured. A state of martial law has been declared in Armenia and Artsakh as of September 27.
